Padilla, Karla

I was born on April 19, 2004, in Chihuahua Mexico to my parents Karla Reynoso and Jose Padilla. They decided to name me Karla Antonella Padilla Reynoso. I spend most of my childhood living in Ojinag Chihuahua except for short periods of time where we would go live in Chihuahua when my sisters were about to be born. When I was 4 my little sister was born and 4 years later my other sister was born. When I was about 11 years old we moved to Presidio Tx where I live today. It wasn’t a big change since I really didn’t struggle with the language because I learned English when I was 4 years old. I’m now a junior in high school and a current member of the National Honor Society, I’m not in other clubs since the virus has affected most of them. I planned to attend El Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico City however I also want to apply to Rice University in Houston Tx. I want to be a doctor and specialize in trauma and these two universities are the best options. When I get asked what my goals are I normally say that it’s going to college however I have bigger goals like becoming one of the best doctors in the trauma specialty or winning a medicine award, I would also like to work for doctors without borders. I have other goals however those would have to wait a little longer. One of the things that I would do to impact our community is to start a club of kids that would focus on doing things for the community. This includes cleaning streets as well as taking care of damaged public places. Doing fundraisers for public services like the fire station, clinic, and police stations. If elders need help with something they can give us a call and we can go help. They need groceries we go and pick it up, if a person needs help with something we would be there doesn’t matter the age. Including tutoring for little kids. Basically, this club would help the community by bringing help for everyday activities. Even if there is already NHS this club would focus more on the community instead of the school. I’m looking forward to my future, and I cant wait to see what happens next.
