First of all, being apart of the National Honor Society is an honor and a great organization to be involved in. Being a member of the National Honor Society has taught me many valuable lessons about giving back to my community, leadership, and good character.

            In fact, it has helped and continues to help me work toward my goals. One of my main goals in life is to help others and give back. National Honor Society revolves around community service and helping those in our community, which is very helpful towards the career I plan to follow. Furthermore, I plan to attend Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. And, I plan to major in psychology at this university and pursue a career in this field as either a counseling psychologist or mental health counselor. Helping those with mental health issues and improving their mental well-being is something I am very passionate about doing in the future. 

            To add, I am also part of the Presidio High School varsity volleyball team. This is my last year playing volleyball at PHS and it is bittersweet. Experiencing and seeing firsthand how the volleyball team has been shaped into what it is today is a great thing. Last year we were District and Bi-District champion and we hope to go even further this year. Also, the support and encouragement from our community have been wonderful. So, I would like to give back and make a positive impact on our community by spreading light and kindness. I plan to volunteer at various places in my community and participate in activites that can improve the well-being of those in my community.. I have done volunteer work before and it is something that I enjoy and value because I can help and positively impact others.
