UIL Solo/Ensemble

The PHS Band competed in the UIL Solo/Ensemble Contest in Monahans on Saturday, Feb. 2 and came home with some super results.   The students received ratings based on their individual(solo) or group(ensemble) performances, advancing to state only if they played a class I Solo/ensemble(most difficult) & received a "One" rating on that performance.  In addition, the soloists advancing to state had to have their solo memorized.  Final outcome was that 21 of our band students advanced to the state competition, which will be held in Austin on June 3.

Receiving a division I and advancing to the state competition were:
